Grand Bend's Local Wine Club

The Village Pour

We gather regularly in Grand Bend to share wine, small bites, and engaging conversation. No wine expertise is required, just a bit of curiosity and a genuine interest in building community.

About The Village Pour

For the Love of Wine and Neighbours

Grand Bend has a few lovely spots where you can order a glass of wine with dinner, but restaurants are built around meals, not mingling. People at the next table stay strangers, and the wine sits quietly alongside the food rather than being the reason you're there. I wanted to create a space where wine was the reason to gather, and the community and conversation that follow are just as much the point.I'm Kim. I'm passionate about wine and currently working toward my Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 certification. I started this club because I believe Grand Bend deserves a space for this kind of experience, and because good wine really is better shared.

How it Works

Pull Up a Chair

All of our events and announcements live inside our private Facebook group, The Village Pour. Joining is free. Just click the link to request access and you'll be in, with full access to everything happening with the club.We gather in small groups, sometimes in a home setting and sometimes in partnership with a local restaurant or bar, as a way of supporting the community during the slower months of the year. The atmosphere is always relaxed and unpretentious, and no wine knowledge is needed to feel right at home.Because each event takes real planning and preparation, we ask everyone to RSVP when spots are announced. Full details, including any associated cost, are always posted in the group ahead of time.

Our Next Event

Vintage Vibe at Third Place

The Village Pour is taking over the lounge at Third Place, Grand Bend's newest spot next door to Gator's. If you haven't been yet, picture a 70s rec room all grown up and playing it cool, with wood panelling, a wall of vinyl, and a thoughtful wine list to match. We'll be pouring a guided flight of four wines selected together with the Third Place team from their own wine list, a Pinot Grigio, a skin-contact Ramato, a Greek Xinomavro rosé, and a warming Côtes du Rhône red, alongside shareable apps chosen by the kitchen. Third Place's full menu will also be available if you'd like to order more.Doors open at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 15th. The tasting flight is $30 per person, plus tax and tip, and will be added to your tab at the end of the evening. Bring a friend and RSVP by October 5th by sending Kim a direct message on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or by email.
